Strategic Account Executive

POSITION SUMMARY:
Primary Systems is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Strategic Account Executive to manage and grow our key healthcare accounts in the St. Louis region. This high-impact role involves building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with healthcare leaders, particularly at the executive and clinical decision-making levels. The ideal candidate will bring a proven background in healthcare technology solutions, including advanced communications systems, workflow automation, clinical software, or consulting services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the primary liaison for key strategic healthcare accounts, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction, engagement, and retention.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including through client entertainment and engagement opportunities that foster trust and long-term partnership.
- Develop and implement tailored account strategies to drive growth and expand solution adoption within assigned accounts.
- Identify, pursue, and close additional business opportunities within existing accounts to grow market share.
- Partner with internal teams across marketing, pre-sales, engineering, and support to ensure successful customer outcomes.
- Lead the preparation of proposals, bids, and RFP responses, effectively leveraging internal resources.
- Represent the company at industry conferences and events to foster relationships and identify new opportunities.
- Consistently meet or exceed revenue, gross margin, and other sales performance goals.
- Maintain an active pipeline through regular sales activities including cold calls, meetings, and demos.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Applicants must be located in the St. Louis region.
- Minimum of ten years of successful sales experience within healthcare facilities at the IDN level.
- Proven ability to manage and grow strategic accounts.
- Demonstrated ability to close sales based on value rather than price.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and strategic thinking ability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Display professionalism, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude in all interactions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
