Primary Systems is a well-established St. Louis business with almost 40 years history providing Critical Communications and Safety Solutions to Healthcare, Education, Manufacturing and General Industry in the region. In the last year, we dedicated a resource to business development with the K-12 School districts in the metro and developed a pipeline of significant opportunities as well as excellent relationships moving forward. We need an energetic, proven salesperson who excels at both organizational networking and large capital sales processes to close business and continue to develop and grow these opportunities.

Our ideal candidate excels at networking with School District Executives, School Boards, and District Directors of Technology, Facilities and Security. The successful candidate will consistently work with School Districts to drive solutions and define requirements for RFPs and bid processes that enable the value-based selection of Primary Systems’ solutions.


Responsibilities 
  • Aggressively pursue relationships with K-12 School Districts in the St. Louis region.
  • Articulate and position Primary Systems solutions and services to key decision makers. 
  • Manage and direct the entire sales cycle, engaging Primary Systems resources as needed.
  • Develop and maintain schedule of District projects and funding. 
  • Determine customer needs and develop a sales strategy for each account.
  • Meet or exceed revenue and gross profit expectations and other sales goals as identified.
  •  Sustain sales activities: appointments, demos, proposals, cold calls and database updates. 
  • Develop bids/estimates and RFP responses, engaging resources as needed. 
  • Perform other duties as directed.
Requirements
  • Experience: Networking and business development/sales experience required. District Superintendent relationships and sales experience a plus. Public sector sales experience a plus. Prefer minimum three to five years of successful large capital business-to-business sales experience. Experience with education, IT, voice or data networking preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to close sales based on value rather than price. 
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or related experience. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook).
