IT Systems Sales Representative

Primary Systems is a well-established St. Louis business with almost 40 years history providing Critical Communications and Safety Solutions to Healthcare, Education, Manufacturing and General Industry in the region. We pride ourselves in delivering excellent quality and customer service driven by our aggressive, enjoyable, value-oriented culture.

We have excellent success rates with two of our best-in-class IT-centric solutions, VoIP PBXs and Wireless LAN infrastructure, and have an opportunity to expand our selling of those solutions to the general small-to-medium business (SMB) market. We need an energetic, driven salesperson to attack the SMB space and build these lines of business with a focus on new customer acquisition.

Our ideal candidate will be well-versed in terminology, features and usage of both PBX and IP Data systems and will have proven success at cold calling, opening doors, forming both IT and executive relationships and working through the SMB sales process.

Responsibilities

• Aggressively pursue new SMB customer contacts in St. Louis region.
• Articulate and position Primary Systems solutions and services to key decision makers.
• Manage the entire sales cycle, engaging Primary Systems resources as needed.
• Develop and maintain a proposal backlog that will ensure meeting sales goals.
• Determine customer needs and develop a sales strategy for each prospect / account.
• Meet or exceed revenue and gross profit expectations and other sales goals as identified.
• Sustain sales activities: appointments, demos, proposals, cold calls, dials and database updates.
• Conduct thorough site surveys to support bid/estimate development.
• Represent the company in a positive and professional manner.
• Maintain professional relationship with all office personnel.
• Perform other duties as directed. 

Requirements
• Experience: Typically three to five years of successful end user business-to-business sales experience. Experience with voice and data networking preferred. Demonstrated ability to close sales based on value.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or related experience.
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook).
