IT Management 


Primary Systems, Inc. is actively seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as an IT Manager. This position oversees the internal IT department as well as project planning, development, and tracking of multiple internal and client-related IT projects. Projects are commonly client-facing implementations and application upgrades requiring cross-departmental collaboration and requires strong knowledge of IT systems, software, and hardware. Candidates should be self-starters, detailed oriented, able to multi-task, and able to effectively communicate with non-technical staff and management.

  • Overall responsibility for Primary Systems IT department 
  • Internal IT equipment budgeting and acquisition 
  • Data storage maintenance, to include all onsite and offsite backup procedures
  • Internal network design and maintenance, both wired and wireless
  • Ability to manage all normal PC/server/printer installation and troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge of VMware installation and management required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Server 2008/2012 and SQL 220/2012 required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, and Security Policies
  • Determine and manage task duration and dependencies, resources, schedules and project risks to keep projects on task and completed timely
  • Coordinate, schedule, and lead as necessary, conference calls and project management meetings with client personnel and drive project progress
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with numerous stakeholders
  • Ability to manage personnel and assign tasks according to availability and skill sets
  • Routinely review the project schedule with stakeholders, management and all other staff that will be impacted by project activities
  • Forecast and track project costs
  • Report project status for individual projects
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally to manage project objectives
  • Coordinate, schedule, and manage vendor activities when applicable
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, IT, or related work experience 
  • 10 years direct work experience in IT Management 
  • Good people skills and ability to represent Primary Systems in a professional manner
  • Communicate complex concepts into understandable, actionable information
  • Ability to adapt to change with project timelines and resources, and to drive problem resolution to help maintain project completion goals and objectives
