Primary Systems Inc., a healthcare technology integrator, is seeking a full-time RN with both the clinical knowledge and administrative skills for the position of Clinical Application Specialist. Applicant’s role will be to assess current clinical workflows, then coordinate and train clinical end-users on the features and use of various technology and clinical systems, as well as provide ongoing support of products and services. Applicants with a BSN degree or higher and at least 2 years work experience in the acute care setting preferred. Experience with Lean Six-Sigma/Workflow Process Improvement is a plus. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about computers and competent in MS Office applications, have technical familiarity with audio/visual/online presentation tools, possess excellent communication skills, proven presentation skills to large audiences, and have an ability to adapt and work effectively with a wide range of individuals within the hospital setting.


The Clinical Application Specialist's primary function is assessment of clinical processes and the training and support of end-users in the use of healthcare technology including, but not limited to nurse call systems and wireless phone integrations within assigned territories.


  • Represent the company in a positive and professional manner. 
  • Identify and establish relationship with prospective customers. 
  • Perform needs assessment of client’s clinical processes and facilitate the decision making process to determine client global system settings. 
  • Coordinate and conduct in-service training for resource personnel and end-users based on both client needs and contracted training hours. 
  • Provide on-site support of system implementation and go-live process. 
  • Conduct periodic follow-up meetings to evaluate potential needs for additional training activities. 
  • Maintain complete record of all activities, submit all reports and timesheets in a timely manner. 
  • Maintain professional relationship with all office personnel. 
  • Perform other duties as directed.
